Responsible cannabis a guide to consumption ensuring health & safety for all.

Silverpeak Responsible Cannabis Consumption Bbrochure.

At Silverpeak, we want our customers to have a safe and pleasant experience with Cannabis. This goal can be achieved when our customers understand how to:

• Buy Responsibly
• Consume Responsibly
• Behave Responsibly
• Possess Responsibly

Cannabis products are for adults over the age of 21, not for minors

4 Rules of Responsible Cannabis Consumption

BUY RESPONSIBLY

• Buy from a licensed retailer.

• Know the milligrams of each serving size for individual form and product.

• Buy only what you need.

CONSUME RESPONSIBLY

• Adhere to the “Six Steps to Consuming Responsibly” on the
following pages. Keep a journal to track serving sizes, amount consumed, timing, and effects.

BEHAVE RESPONSIBLY

• After consuming, don’t drive vehicles, operate equipment, or engage in any activity that may endanger yourself or others.

• Don’t carry an “open container” in your vehicle or in public.

• Mixing alcohol, or other drugs with Cannabis will compound its effects and is potentially dangerous.

POSSESS RESPONSIBLY

• Keep products in a secure and safe place at all times and away from minors. If in a hotel, keep these products in your room safe.

• It is illegal to take these products out of state. You don’t want to come to Aspen on vacation and arrive home on probation.

• Don’t possess more than you are legally allowed to possess.

Dispose of unused product responsibly before leaving the state. There is an amnesty box located at the Aspen / Pitkin Airport to dispose of unused cannabis products.

Six Steps to Consuming Responsibly

STEP 1 – PLACE AND PREPAREDNESS:

Find a private setting. It is against Colorado law to consume Cannabis in any public place (e.g. bars, restaurants, sidewalks, parks, hallways, public transportation, etc.) and against federal law to consume on federal land or facilities on federal land. If staying at a hotel or rental property, check with the management regarding their cannabis policies. Be well hydrated, well rested, and well nourished.

STEP 2 – PLANNING YOUR TIME ACCORDINGLY:

Know how long the effect will last:

Edibles:  Total duration generally varies from 6 to 8 hours or more depending on the serving size and the individual’s metabolism.

Flower/bud: Total duration generally varies from 2 to 4 hours.

STEP 3 – TIME TO ONSET OF EFFECT:

Edibles: Onset varies from person to person. It could take as little as 30 minutes, or as long as 2 hours until onset of effect.

Flower/bud: Plan for 5-10 minutes until onset of effect.

STEP 4 – PREDETERMINE YOUR SERVING SIZE:

For edibles, know the total mgs per “piece.” If smoking, know the number of draws you want to start with. Put the remainder away in a safe, secure, and “inconvenient” place – e.g. locked in a safe.

STEP 5 – FIRST TIME? SET A PERSONAL BASELINE:

Edibles – Take no more than 10 mg for your first experience. If you think you are sensitive to Cannabis, take no more than 5 mg.

Flower – Take no more than 1-2 draws for your first experience.

“One and Done” – After taking, let your serving size run its course. Do not take more.

Once you have established your personal baseline, you will be able to intelligently take more or less to attain the desired effect.

STEP 6 – ASSESS EFFECTS BEFORE STANDING

MINORS

Do not make these products available to minors (e.g. under age 21). It is against Colorado law to transfer Cannabis products to minors.

Don’t over-serve yourself

The most frequent cause of over-serving oneself is taking
an additional serving and/or mixing with alcohol. The effects, especially with edibles, are subtle at the onset. With edibles,
establish a moderate baseline serving for yourself before increasing your serving size.

“You can always serve yourself more at another time. But, once you have over-served yourself, you can’t consume less!”
